Lusts | Yayoi Kusama for Louis Vuitton

To say Japanese artist Yayo Kusama is obsessed with spots is quite an understatement. Since early adolescence Kusama has been painting spots and dots across all of her artwork: from canvas to sculpture, cars to Coca-Cola cans, the human body and even a horse. Now 83 years old, Kusama has collaborated with Louis Vuitton to bring her fixation with spots into the world of fashion. And oh, isn’t it fun!

The collection will be available worldwide from 10 July and is a dotted ranbow of dresses, skirts, shorts, tops, swimwear, pants, pyjamas and, of course, LV’s beloved accessories. I spotted (smirk) these yellow and black bow pumps in the July issue of Vogue Australia and just had to share – they are truly a work of art. This is what makes fashion fun and I will be sporting these through the puddles of winter to the poolside soirees of summer!
